Welcome to ClubBuyer, provided by SELECT GOLF LLC (“ClubBuyer,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, or services (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our Platform.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding agreements.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Trade-In Process

Valuation: Our industry-leading value guide allows you to check real-time values and sell eligible new or used golf clubs. Valuations are based on factors such as brand, model, condition, and current market demand, ensuring fair and accurate pricing.

Submission: Submit your items for trade-in using our streamlined online process. If your item is not listed, contact our team for an offline evaluation.

Shipping: We provide prepaid shipping labels and boxes for all orders over $100. Labels are valid for 14 days from issue date. Please ship your items within this period.

Processing: Upon receipt, we inspect and grade your items according to our condition scale (New, Average, Below Average). You will be notified of any adjustments to your initial quote. Items not meeting our acceptance criteria may be returned at your expense.

Payment: Once your trade-in is approved, payment will be issued via your selected method (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, paper check upon request) within 2 business days of delivery.

3. Condition Grading

We use a transparent, industry-standard condition scale:

New: Unused, never hit, no visible wear.

Average: Normal wear and tear. No skymarks, dents, or rattles.

Below Average: Significant wear but still functional.

To ensure accurate assessment and fair valuation, all clubs are categorized based on specific condition criteria. Please review the following definitions prior to submission:

New Condition:

Clubs categorized as New are either:

  • In their original manufacturer plastic wrap; or
  • Removed from plastic but showing no signs of use or wear.

These clubs have not been hit or used in play. However, minor cosmetic imperfections as a result of in-store handling (i.e., “shop wear”) may be present.

Average Condition:

Clubs in Average condition have been used and demonstrate typical wear consistent with regular play. This may include:

  • Ball marks and face scratching consistent with normal use;
  • Sole wear including scratching or minor abrasions;
  • Light surface scratches or cosmetic paint imperfections on or around the crown.

Clubs in this category must be free from structural damage such as cracks, dents, or rattles. Shafts and grips should remain fully functional and in playable condition, showing only routine aesthetic wear.

Below Average Condition:

Clubs considered Below Average have experienced frequent or extended use and may exhibit more substantial cosmetic or functional wear, including:

  • Skymarks, dings, nicks, and groove wear or loss;
  • Shaft burn marks or visible browning on the clubface;
  • Moderate to heavy wear on grips and shafts.

Despite these defects, clubs must remain structurally sound and fully playable. Clubs showing performance-impairing damage such as broken shafts, cracked or dented heads, or any modification that compromises functionality are not accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: Any clubs featuring aftermarket finishes or personalized engravings (including stamped initials or names) will automatically be classified as Below Average Condition, regardless of other characteristics.

Clubs That Do Not Qualify

The following items are not accepted under any condition:

  • Iron sets with fewer than four (4) consecutive clubs, including a Pitching Wedge (Note: Sets lacking a PW must be submitted as individual irons)
  • Clubs with cracked or dented heads
  • Clubs with broken or cracked shafts
  • Counterfeit or non-authentic clubs
  • Wedges that are engraved or stamped with initials, names, or logos (automatically downgraded to Below Average)

If you are uncertain about the condition of your equipment or have questions concerning eligibility, please contact our customer service team by phone or email for clarification.

4. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items.
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
  • Attempt to interfere with Platform functionality or security.
  • Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to us. You may not use or reproduce any content without our written permission.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

No Warranty: The Platform and services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClubBuyer and Select Golf LLC from any claims or damages arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here and are effective immediately. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of California. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of San Diego, CA.
